Just Wait...

I think we as a society have gotten caught up in chasing the next best thing versus being part of the ever present now. Whether that's turning a new age and being told to just wait for your next trip around the sun; or maybe you got a job promotion and a colleague told you to just wait until it's the corner office. Maybe you're a recently married couple who is dancing on your wedding night when someone congratulates you and says just wait until you have kids.

Regardless of the season, milestone, accomplishment, or celebration don't remember it by just waiting until the next thing. Just be.

Be present. Be overly giddy with happiness. Be surrounded with love and contentment. Be proud. Be bold. Be patient. Be awestruck. Be appreciative. Be acknowledgeable. Be amazed at the ever present now.

And when you're ready, reflect on it. I'm willing to guess that at one point in your earlier life you prayed for the exact moment you're experiencing. When you remember that, and spend that moment being versus waiting, you quite literally have a tangible reminder of God's goodness.

Congratulations Davis Family on this beautiful chapter of your lives. I hope it is full of moments of wonder and amazement.
