Johnson Family Maternity Session at Ayers Field in Comer, Georgia

This precious little family holds such a special place in my heart. I met Cheyenne during my time at the University of Georgia through a community service sorority we both joined. Like any first conversation with a fellow college student goes, we asked where home was for one another and she shared she was from Madison County. At the time I had never heard of it. Flash forward four short years later, my husband and I are PROUD Madison County transplants and absolutely love the beautiful community we call home.

If you know anything about Madison County then you know it is a beautifully preserved rural agricultural community in northeast Georgia. It is home to so many incredible agricultural producers and subsequently, the most beautiful agriculture landscape. If you ask me what my favorite part of living here is, aside from the people, my two answers will always be 1) being able to see the stars at night and 2) hearing crickets chirping. It’s a slower and more intentional way of life, and I adore every minute of it.

The Johnson family’s maternity session really showcases the beauty that encompasses Madison County. It was the perfect Spring afternoon for their photoshoot. The location we chose is known as Ayers Field and it is an overflow parking area for the local county fair and outside of fair season the overgrown grass overlooks the most beautiful sunset. I am so thankful for the Comer Lions Club for granting us permission to photograph the Johnson family here. It was also out lucky day because the field was covered in red clover. We spent the afternoon playing ring-around-the-rosie, chasing Charlie girl, and talking about all their dreams as they become a family of four.

Thank you Johnson family for continuously inviting me into your lives to celebrate y’all! I simply cannot wait to meet Miss Nora!
